Covered With Love Diaper Bank 10 Year Celebration

Covered With Love Inc. Diaper Bank works to provide diapers and other essentials to our community’s most vulnerable infants and toddlers. Unbeknownst to most, there are no government safety net programs for diapers and diapers cannot be purchased with SNAP (food stamp) benefits.

Diaper need is extremely prevalent in Terre Haute and the surrounding counties. The National Diaper Bank Network, of which CWL is a member, reports that 1 in 2 families in the United States experiences diaper need. Covered With Love will be celebrating 10 years of service to our community, by distributing 500,000 diapers to families in and around our community, as well as raise awareness of the issue of diaper need.

Not only does diaper need negatively affect the children in need, but studies have also shown that this material hardship impacts a family socially, economically, mental & emotional wellness and increases the likelihood of postpartum depression, physical abuse, as well as hindering early childhood development and creates a relational disconnection between the parent and child. DIAPER NEEED IS A VERY REAL HEALTH CRISIS IMPACTING FAMILIES EVERY DAY!

This special event will bring together community leaders, advocates, and supporters to raise awareness of the diaper need health crisis, as well as raise critical funds for providing diapers, other baby hygiene essentials to families in need and help fund other CWL programs.
